Hellllllooooooooooooooooooo everyone! Many of you have been asking where I’ve been and why there haven’t been any new blog posts recently and honestly its just because work has been super hectic and I was the only one in my office for about a month, so I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Thankfully, all my lovely coworkers are back from holidays and trainings, and I am less stressed over all. I have quite a few updates so buckle up.
First, I have not done a ton of travel, but I did recently do a day trip to Strasbourg with some friends and Strasbourg is just so beautiful. I have been before, but it was fun to go back and do some things I missed last time. That is pretty much the only trip I have done because of the aforementioned chaos, but I do have a few trips lined up in the next few months.
The first will be a trip to Krakow, Poland for the long weekend over Indigenous People’s Day. I am super excited for this because I have heard wonderful things about the beauty of the city and the delicious food. This will also be an interesting opportunity to see Auschwitz, which I know will be very impactful and bring me back to my German major from undergrad. This is another solo trip and in a country with a language I don’t speak this time, but I am gaining travel confidence every time I go somewhere, and I am so grateful for these experiences. I will definitely write a post about my adventures once I am back.
In November, my work bestie Jessie and I are going to do a black forest trip. We will be stopping in Freiburg and Baden-Baden to do some hiking, eat some black forest cake, see some cookoo clocks, and do some natural hot springs dips. I am looking forward to enjoying the fall weather and experiencing the culture of the black forest.
In December, the fam is coming to visit! I miss them so much and I am excited to see them for a week. My brothers’ goals for the trip vary, but I know that we will do some Christmas Market trips while they are here and I cannot wait. Winter in Germany is just so magical!
In January, my best friend in the whole world is coming with her sister and husband (hi Meg, Carly, and Ryan!) and while we have no firm plans yet, I’m sure there will be some fun shenanigans and travel.
After that, I am going to Canada in March for one of my college roommate/bestie’s wedding (Hi Da Laina and Chris!). I haven’t seen Da Laina in person in about a year or so, so I am so excited to see her and celebrate her special day. I also have never been to Canada, so that will be yet another country that is new for me, and my Mom is gonna come spend some time with me because flights are cheap. Girls trip!
Lastly, Jessie and I will be doing a trip to London in April for my birthday. London has been on both Jessie’s and my bucket list for awhile, and with $70 round trip tickets, its really hard to beat. We are gonna be the most epic tourists and hit all the sights and maybe have some afternoon tea for my birthday.
That is all the travel I have planned for now, but I feel like that is quite a lot. It will be a fun few months and I cannot wait to update you all on my progress and adventures. Miss you all dearly and write more soon!
