Well folks, as you could probably guess from the title, we are in the final stretch. Two weeks from today, I will be landing in humid Huntsville, Alabama. I actually leave Germany two weeks from yesterday, but I am flying into and staying in Boston for a night before flying to Huntsville on the 1st, because there are no direct flights from Frankfurt to Huntsville, unsurprisingly. I basically have nothing to do for the last two weeks here, except I still have to show up for class Tuesday through Thursday of next week to pick of my Schein from each class (Certificate of Completion), which is honestly just annoying, but like I said, my schedule is empty, so it will be fine. Other than that, I will just be eating at all of my favorite restaurants one more time most likely and I really need to start thinking about laundry and packing. Yikes. It is crazy how much unnecessary stuff one person can accumulate in a year. Pray for me please.
It really is becoming real that I will be leaving soon. I just purchased my shuttle ticket to the airport this morning. That was kind of sad. I finished with exams this week. That was really exciting. I have been in school FOREVER. I am definitely going to miss this beautiful little town in Germany. So much has changed since being here and the changes within myself are incredible. Not to be cliché, but abroad like, really changed me (LOL, this is a reference to a video/meme for everyone who was surprised by the sudden IQ drop and the use of “like”).
But honestly, I am so proud of how far I have come and everything I have accomplished. For those who did not see my Facebook post, I passed the proficiency exam and now could officially enroll in German universities if I so choose. I really am kind of shocked that I passed, so I am just bragging about it again. I knew I had improved, but to really see a physical depiction of all my hard work from this year, that honestly just makes me want to squeal and jump around.
Of course, with how different I feel as a person this year, I am now worried about having a really bad reverse culture shock crash when I get back to the states or once classes begin again at DU. Luckily, I have lots of friends who have returned from study abroad too, and I know they will be a great resource for me. I am so looking forward to being back with them and having an amazing, hopefully easy senior year. That probably won’t happen because I decided to take Russian and Computer Science in the same quarter, right when I get back to school, but a girl can dream.
I am not sure exactly when I will post again, but I am sure I will write at least once more before I leave. Its all passing very quickly now. Don’t forget to enjoy your days, and I will do the same! Until next time.

You did it!! Im very proud of you!
