Upcoming Trips

Okay, I know I just put out a pretty long blog about everything I had done and the catastrophe of breaking myself, but I have some trips coming up that I am just SO geeked about, and I wanted to tell everyone.

So first things first, I think I’m gonna drive to Brussels for Memorial Day weekend. I have technically visited before for a short work trip, but I did not really get to explore the city. I make pretty decent money over here since I don’t have to pay for housing (thank you Air Force), but I am convinced I am going to come back from Europe with basically no savings because I keep traveling every chance I get. Buttttttttt, I justify it by saying at least I’m not spending money on drugs, and also when am I ever going to get the opportunities to do this again? Probably not anytime soon, especially if I like become a real adult and settle down and stuff. So I’m fully taking advantage of my young, single pringle lifestyle right now for as long as I can.

The trip that I am really, really geeked for, however, is my solo road trip through Scotland in June. I just booked all of my flights and the rental car, and planned out my itinerary. I will be starting in Edinburgh and then driving up the eastern coast, over to the Isle of Sky, and then driving back down the western coast ending in Glasgow with a few stops along the way. Including travel days, it is going to be a 10 day trip and I genuinely wish it were June already so I could be there now. I have so many fun things planned in my itinerary, and I cannot wait to see the gorgeous scenery and add another country to my list. This will be my first experience driving on the wrong side of the road, but the internet says it’s not as hard as it sounds, and we all know the internet is 100% true 100% of the time, so I’m sure I’ll be fine. This will also be my first long-term solo trip, but I think it will be an awesome experience and at least its in a country where I technically speak the language. I say technically because Scottish accents can be something else, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out.

I’m also planning a trip to Italy with a friend at the end of August, but that’s not fully planned out yet aside from us being like let’s go to Italy! I have been to Italy already, but the food and wine is enough to get me to go back without batting an eye.

So yeah, just a quick update with more to come in the future, but I can’t wait to share all of the fun things I am doing while kissing all of my money goodbye, LOL. Until next time!
